ooohhh! i like this mitch guy!

People, cool your jets. I think whats lost on many people here is that this is social satire. In this picture mitch is playing the “character” of a loathsome bigshot creative director. The statement being, in our culture of corporate greed, oh how we’d like to see these overpaid bigwigs humbled and knocked off their pedestals. The “character” on craigslist is not supposed to be liked and deserves to be lambasted. If you go to his website you’ll see that in real life mitch is just a freelance copywriter looking for his next gig. I’m pretty sure he never had a penthouse, summer house, trophy wife and mistress to lose! All in all, I think this was a pretty clever send-up misinterpreted by some when viewed out of context. But to bash Mitch, and by extension his work, makes as much sense as bashing the actor Michal Douglas because he portrayed the despicable character Gordon Gekko in a movie.

no wonder he's homeless, he's a total hack. seriously, with garbage like that in his portfolio, it's a wonder he was able to stay employable this long. i wouldn't hire him to lick my balls.
  • magrito · 10 months ago
why should we feel pity for him? lost penthouse, summer house, trophy wife? can't afford his lifestyle anymore? aww, am sooo sorry.
  • U R A Loser · 10 months ago
You're jealous of what this man had, aren't you? You're a pathetic little worm.
  • missj · 10 months ago
it'd be more authentic if he actually wrote the message with marker instead of photoshopping it on.
  • merri kerri · 10 months ago
well maybe the executions not so great but you’ve got to admit the concept is really quite funny
  • the Grinch · 10 months ago
this guy should do something else. like go to culinary school. drive a bus. anything but advertising.
  • Randall McFiesty · 10 months ago
he has good access to the web for a homeless guy. kudos on that.
  • steve · 10 months ago
his site is horrible. uploaded his content to geocities. i didnt even know that still existed
  • Rusty · 10 months ago
He’s obviously not homeless. I think he’s just having some fun with the sad state of the economy and former industry excess.

The best part of this total sham is the water-down shoe polish he spreads generously over his fingers and face. Nice touch!

Mitch, glad to see you haven't been forced to sell your Rolex watch and J. Crew buttoned oxford yet. Whew!
  • AgencyBS · 10 months ago
INDEED! Mitch is a hack, maybe his poor taste and disregard for others is the real cause for his current unemployment.
  • GoingLikeSixty · 10 months ago
Wow, that is just hilarious! The penthouse... the trophy wife... God Bless... some really, really awesome material.
  • GI Joe · 10 months ago
Are you fucking kidding? Not funny. When humor isn't funny, it sucks even worse.
  • jacksonwhole · 10 months ago
Comparing your sad life to that of a real homeless person is pathetic. Bite me.
  • biteme.com · 10 months ago
Sorry, but that just makes me sick. That's almost as "funny" as Bush walking into that hardware store in Texas jokingly saying he was looking for a job! Ass.
  • 55pony · 10 months ago
calm down people.no need to be so rude.article recently in the nytimes that someone walked thru the street with a similar ad - and got a job! so lighten up.

    go mitch go
  • wasn't me · 10 months ago
So what you're saying, is that on top of not being funny, it's also not an original idea( which it obviously isn't ).
  • 55pony · 10 months ago
yea like there are no revivals anywhere - like broadway
    lighten up.
  • meh · 10 months ago
I don't blame him for doing all he can to get a job.
But I think he should have re-evaluated his resume and his portfolio before he posted his title as "Creative Director".
His online stuff looks like it came from a template. Of course, sometimes that's what a client wants, but maybe he should try an internal gig at a client, or do promotional work in Connecticut.

  • cheerios · 10 months ago
yeah they're still around and part of yahoo. it's actually a great deal. you can get a ton of server space and throughput for like nothing.
  • Brenda · 10 months ago
He can't be too broke if he can still afford to host that website.
  • Scotty · 10 months ago
Guy was an ACD at Euro? What a hack! He obviously worked with Bitsack Hack too. Maybe they were fired together.
