Wow. They definitely worked on Wendy's and LOVED it!!
  • manny · 3 months ago
Agencies own creatives' ideas, so isn't that illegal to try and re-sell them later?
  • harshbuttrue · 3 months ago
    If his portfolio's any indication...they ain't worth $9.99
  • Yessir · 3 months ago
At least Daniel will lose weight, after he gets blacklisted from the ad industry.

Ok, let's stop hating on the kid's weight. If you want to do that, go to the People of Walmart blog.

Wendy's ads sucked. This idea sucks. Dude, you're not funny, that is, if you're trying to be. But hey, you got on agencyspy.com. That's something.

    Dumb and Dumber.
  • H.D. · 3 months ago
If you have to buy someone else's ideas, you belong in another industry. Like handing out "pamphlets" in Vegas.
  • YOYOYO9999999 · 3 months ago
harshbuttrue, their books aren't worth $9.99? Unless you're Tony Granger or Chuck McBride, you should STFU! Moron

Yessir, same goes for you. Lose the 400 lbs, get your GED, and move out of the trailer.
  • Yessir · 3 months ago
I would, but my wife/mom/sister/cousin is too busy birthing my babies.
  • Light Bulb · 3 months ago
Ideas are a dime a dozen. Anyone can have ideas, good and bad. And one person's creative ideas are just as good as anothers. So why buy some dipshitz ideas? Not even for .99.
  • Andy the AzzMan · 3 months ago
Might wanna try reading some copyright law you dumbass.
  • YOYOYO9999999 · 3 months ago
Yessir, THAT'S funny. Nice comeback. Hats off to you!

I'm sure I will be able to come up with more witty comments after I buy your partner's notebooks, daniel. Hold on a minute while i fish 99 cents out of my asscrack.
  • LOL · 3 months ago
That made me laugh "Sir." Can't wait till Izzy realizes this isn't funny, good for his shit agency or what's left of their clients.
  • Macho Sasquacho · 3 months ago
HA! Unilever's buying crowdsourced ideas for 10,000 UK Pounds in a bid to save money from having an agency. Now they can really save some cash.
  • Rolls Eyes · 3 months ago
What a bunch of humorless asshats you are. It was a joke. Lighten up, Francis.
  • Former_scribe · 3 months ago
I want to buy the unpublished ideas of whoever thought up that "bundle of money with the little eyes lying there" campaign for Geico. What a superlative effort. Outstanding. Simply nothing like it on the air today. Words can't describe it. Unique in its effectiveness.
  • I Like It · 3 months ago
That is a good ad, isn't it?
  • jimgibson · 3 months ago
Geico's "eyes" campaign is great? That is the lamest thing to hit advertising in 50 years. Here are some words to describe it: unownable (it would fit any company), unfunny (what's the joke? It's not cute. It doesn't say anything insightful or interesting), repetitive (it's the same stupid non-joke over and over), borrowed interest (Michael Jackson's song)...I could go on, but I don't want to waste any more time thinking about it.
  • Former_scribe · 3 months ago
Agree with you, jim. Read me again. It's superlatively, outstandingly bad. Unique in its (in)effectiveness. Words can't describe (how bad) it (is). You have to say stuff like this when you're in advertising to keep your sanity. (And, it's Rockwell's song, but no matter.) Your assessment is right on the money. The only thing it does have to recommend it is, its production values are cheap and within the reach of an in-house agency. I think Geico is doing overlapping campaigns for their various companies and product lines and wasting money, unless they're coordinating their buys and getting discounts that way, and haveing worked in life insurance marketing before, I bet they're not. Glad that you read me, though. Good luck.

Izzy is a f ing idiot for letting this go on
  • John Reid · 3 months ago
Izzy is a great dude. And Dan's job is to get stuff noticed. He's definitely doing that right now, no? This thing is really funny. Very strange to see so many vitriolic reactions about it. How do you all have time/volition to tear down some AD's fun side project?
  • Clueless · 3 months ago
Because it's against agency policy dumb ass.
  • huh3 · 3 months ago
Wasn't this done a few years back when some art director from some shop in the Midwest sold his spec book on eBay? It got all kinds of press.
