tee-hee...Maybe Garry Neel (head of McCann Detroit) should not have been telling everyone that McCann Detroit was a shoe in to win the account. Ever since McCann Detroit make the blunder of letting go the head account person of the GM account (apparently she did not fit in to the boys club there), GM won't give McCann a serious look. The only reason that GM pretended to consider McCann was because of Neel's "frienship" with Shannon.

McCann, SF will go after Nissan. LaPlae helped turn around Nissan at TBWA in Japan in the 1990s. Since then, Nissan has fallen behind Hyundai. It makes perfect sense for Nissan to go to their "turnaround" guy.
