that's ok...i still don't know the difference between holland and the netherlands. and why are they called dutch??

    re: brett...you can keep him.

As a Dutchman, I suppose I'm supposed to know such things. Also, MN has a nasty habit of employing washed up, old QBs. No one thinks for a second Fav-ra is the next coming.

Here in the midwest, we think Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are the same place: hell's toilet.

I believe you call that a burn.

What? Scandinavia is not a country, it's a region! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandanavia

...and as you can see, Switzerland is not and never will be part of Scandanavia - they speak more languages in one country than we do in three. ;)

"...they speak more languages in one country than we do in three."

I thought Scandinavia was four: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finnland. And where does Iceland fit in by the way?
  • Dabitch · 4 months ago
Finland and Iceland are added depending on who you ask (and what language you speak because in Swedish "Skandinavien" is always only Sweden/Denmark/Norway - but English speakers tend to want to throw Iceland and Finland into the mix). Since the name is derived from the Scandinavian Peninsula, one could argue that only Norway and Sweden are "scandinavian".

Oh, come on. It's a fun ad. Let's make a stink about it.
  • goldoneshow · 4 months ago
Anyone else find it these ads eerily similar to Goodby's Comcast work of recent years? While I admit we all steal from each other, to steal from an agency in your own city is a bit much especially since the Comcast campaign is so good and recent. Guess BSSP gave up on trying to be good.

This campaign is terrible. I've sat thru' many, many RadioShack focus groups and note once did they refer to is as the Shack. Internally we did but not consumers. It's a misguided approach by the agency and client. Shame on both. Plus they moved away from the red & black brand colors to a green & black. Another major mistake. I predict both the agency the client CMO Lee Applbaum are out by this time next year.
