Someone should have put TM out of their misery long ago. The last time they had any real talent was when Jay and Wade were there.

Hyundai's at Goodby, and the Home Depot is closer to 500M.

Both facts have only been reported in the media a couple hundred times or so in the last year.

    Hasn't Hyundai moved to WMG?
  • teh anser · 7 months ago
Yeh, but Goodby did the assurance campaign.
  • Pale Writer · 7 months ago
Hyundai's left Goodby MANY months ago.
  • GSP · 7 months ago
Hyundai didn't leave Goodby completely until just recently (last month or two) and the Assurance work was done here at Goodby.
  • 2B Fair. · 6 months ago
Nope. Assurance was created/executed by the Richards Group.

They're just too busy & classy to participate in this blog.
  • untasered · 6 months ago
I work at The Richards Group, and we did not create or execute the Hyundai Assurance Program.
  • 2B Fair. · 6 months ago
No you don't and yes they did.

Sorry, 2B. Please do your homework. It isn't that difficult to find this stuff online. There are multiple sources where you can look up the credits on the Assurance spots. You'll see a list of folks from Goodby there, and none from the Richards Group.

    Here, I'll get you started:

    http://www.coloribus.com/adsarchive/tv-commerci...

    http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Artic...

    http://www.mediabistro.com/agencyspy/goodby/as_...

That last link is especially fun, because it should be familiar to Matt. Who apparently was stricken by amnesia sometime between that post and this.

That's terrible about GSD&M. Their media team is actually very talented. Terrible news.
also... Universal McCann? They're still an agency?

Isn't Publicis dangling in the breeze as well?

TM HAS HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS SINCE 2000. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT AND ACCOUNT SERVICE. HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS ARE CLUELESS. MOSTLY GOOD OLD WHITE BOYS CLUB WITH NO NEW FLAVOR. TERRIBLE PRINT AND BROADCAST MANAGERS. HR HIDES EMPLOYMENT VIOLATIONS.
  • JENNIFER · 2 months ago
Since Mr. Temerlin left TM advertising should have closed. They are in a real dump downtown now. IPG is carrying them. No structure. No disipline or work procedures. Still have the same lazy people in charge and that changes every six months. Interactive/Broadcast have the worst management and there is no creative skills left. Went from 750 employees to 200 and merged with a loser Seattle agency who had major layoffs and no staff.

I agree about TM Advertising! What a mess! They layoff people and then hire freelance people who could care less and just laugh at the place. Even the freelancers think the place is a joke. It is the most unorganized place. They lost Nationwide. The account team on that was a bunch of brainless idiots who could not communicate with the client and some of them are still at TM. Do you believe it? Client rolled their eyes at meetings, totally disgusted.
